Hello and a warm welcome. I’m Kayla. I design homes that people love creating in, nurturing in, and living life in.

For busy families, a home isn’t just something to finish — it’s something to live inside of. It’s where routines happen, where relationships grow, where children and pets take up space, and where life needs to feel supported rather than managed.

My work is about creating homes that feel good to live in every day.

How I Design

I personally oversee every project from start to finish.

I am the primary designer and coordinator, deeply involved in layouts, flow, and the systems that make a home function smoothly. I manage all moving parts so families don’t have to — from planning and sourcing through scheduling, coordination, and installation oversight.

Install teams execute the work, but every decision, detail, and direction runs through me. This ensures the home is completed intentionally, cohesively, and without unnecessary disruption.

Design Philosophy

I’m not trend-driven.

I design for longevity, usability, and real family life. Beauty matters — but it only works when it supports how a home is actually used.

As a parent and pet owner, I design with the full household in mind. Spaces need to support movement, rest, creativity, mess, cleanup, and connection. A home should feel intuitive, calm, and easy to live in — not precious or fragile.

I think in systems rather than individual rooms, so the home functions as a whole and continues to support the people living in it over time.

Where I Work

I am currently designing homes in:

  • Portland, Oregon

  • Bend, Oregon

Select remote projects are considered when scope and alignment are a fit.
